our little baby toddler is now 14 months! as as I have said every month, this month was more fun than the last. well, most days. it has been challenging as well :) teething is it's own ring of hell. and now that she has learned to climb I literally can not take my eyes off of her for one second. but hey, i'm getting my exercise:)
height/weight: we haven't been to the dr, but go at 15 months.
she seems bigger to me, but supposedly plateaus off around 12 months.
size: she is in 12 month, some 12-18 months but most of those are too long on her:)
she has to wear size 4 diapers night time diapers but size 3 cruisers during day (pampers all the way!)
nicknames: beanie, monster, stinker, Jo-Jo
physical: she still has beautiful blue eyes
strawberry blondish hair that is long and shaggy but we can do more things with it now. It is curly in the back and is ADORABLE when it is wet.
she now has 8 almost NINE teeth. (it's been a fun month let me tell ya)
eating: philip and I both agree life is easier now that she eats table foods. We can run errands and not have to worry about bottles and warmed milk. We just stop and get her something to eat just like we eat!
She does still take 3 bottles a day (when she gets up, before or after nap, and before bed). I have tried numerous different sippy cups (even one I can put her bottle nipple in the top!) and she will not drink milk out of it. and she still has to have her milk warmed. when we try cold or even room temperature she literally spits it out. Oy… we have quite the princes over here.
suggestions? would love to hear them.
Other than that she is such a good healthy eater. loves her fruits so much.
She is practicing eating with a spoon (which I sneak into that RIGHT hand). she picks things up with both hands so it's hard to tell what she will be. but she does feed herself with the left…
sleeping: she takes a nap anywhere from 12/1 until 230/3. usually.
she goes to bed around 730 and sleeps until 7/730. We still thank God for such an awesome sleeper.
I am already praying baby #2 (not any time soon don't worry!) will sleep as good as she is. It has been the best blessing!
now that's a good nap
new things:
she makes a fish face (that some adults can't even make)
She has become attached to this gray&pink blanket and carries it around all the time hugging it and burying her face in it. In the mornings she is standing in her crib pointing at it on the floor. She understands EVERYTHING. "go get your cup" "where is daddy's hair?" "take this to Jackson" "let's go outside!"-- she runs to the door
she loves to empty things out and then fill them back up. she pulls everything out of her picnic basket then puts it all back in.
if you are sitting down she comes over, turns around and sits in your lap. or sometimes she pushes my legs down to make my lap 'sittable' :)
she jabbers jabbers jabbers but still doesn't say much. we wonder all the time what she thinks she is saying.
she climbs on everything.
She still waves at everyone. everywhere.
she still bites noses.
she is running out of room in her infant car seat. it hold her up to 30 pounds, but we are probably going to move up to the next one soon. Philip already bought her a Ricaro race car seat for his truck (while I was at work, he's sneaky like that)
