Birthday week!

You all know i love my birthday and always have. Celebrating my 36th was a good one for me. Philip worked the night before so he came home that morning with doughnuts, which the kids were pumped about. they gave me my presents and Ainsley was so excited to give me a massage chair she knew I’ve been wanting (of course Philip picked up a much upgraded one from the one I liked). Philip continued to spoil me rotten by booking a cruise for Whitney and I in February! Him and Steve have been conspiring and now Key West & Bahamas here we come! He also got me some tickets to a concert for one of my favs singers. Which Whitney and I will be going to in May. He buys me things i would never in a million years buy myself. He is such a thoughtful gift giver, which he inherits from his momma.

that morning the kids and i met Bubby, Rachel, the girls and nanny at salato wildlife center. we did all we could inside, but the rain sent us to chik fil a instead of hiking through the trails.

When Philip got up i went and got a massage and that night we went to Marikkas for dinner. German good is our favorite and we LOVED the food there! It was also super kid friendly, so we will for sure be going back.

The next morning after church, my friend Erin had us over for a birthday brunch of homemade cinnamon rolls and bacon. Then we headed to Gtown for my annual cookout! We decided to have the cookout at the park this year, because our number of people continues to grow. While it was pretty hot, the food (birthday hotdogs!) and company was perfect. Dad toted down all the food and homemade ice cream mom had made, and the kids enjoyed playing on the playground.

I stretched out my celebrations to this week, when we went to Joy's house. She made hamloaf, potato pancakes, and a delicious cake. We celebrated mine and Lindsay's September birthdays because schedules are so hard to coincide. Parker 'helped' me and Lindsay open our gifts.

My last celebration was this past Wednesday when some friends from BSF came over bearing dinner and treats. We stayed up late (for me) talking and eating and when they left I was reminded how grateful I am for that group of women.

Actually I am just so grateful for the amazing people in my life. My husband, my kids, my parents, family, and awesome friends. I am so blessed and so grateful for each one of them. Here's to year 3-6!
