5 months!

I feel like from month 4 to 5 has been the most growth she has had so far. she seems to get bigger and longer every day. where she once fit in our forearm she now requires both arms to hold. she used to take up a fraction of our chest when she laid on it now she stretches down our stomachs. It's hard to believe she weighs over twice what she weighed when she was born. sometimes I look at her and my heart physically hurts at how fast she is growing.
(again i couldnt decide which pics were the cutest!)

weight/height: she hasn't been weighed since she went to the dr for her virus (and had lost 6 ounces). but she has gained all of that back plus more! we feel like she is growing like a weed!!!

nicknames: bean, monster, big girl, beautiful (philip)

physical: her eyes are still blue/gray. her hair is growing and its hard to tell what color it will be. it's growing around her ears and the rat tail continues to grow:) we seriously might have to cut it soon but philip really doesnt want me to:)
she still drools and puts everything she can in her mouth. but no teeth yet! her thighs and cheeks are so chubby and I just love them
rat.tail.
size: she wears mostly 3-6 month. a lot of the length-restricting 3 month outfits don't fit her anymore. lucky for her friend Kalyn who is just a few months behind her;)
she is in size 2 pampers swaddlers.

eating: we have come to realize Ainsley will eat what she wants and if she is or isn't hungry she will let you know:)
she eats oatmeal (and some rice) cereal 1-2 times a day and seems to enjoy it:) Today we are trying out sweet potatoes for her 5 month birthday :)

sleeping: the past week has been rough on her for some reason. I think learning to roll so much has affected her sleep. she isn't used to having her arms free either. in her sleep, she rolls onto her belly and when she wants to go back she can't figure out how to get back on her back so she cries until we flip her back. then less than a minute later shes flipped herself back. silly girl:)

play:
  • I think the favorite thing she does now is giggle and laugh. it is the best sound in the world and can make you smile no matter mood you are in.
  • almost as soon as you lay her down on the ground she has flipped over. she still goes to the left but with a little bit of help will flip from her right. after a while of being on her stomach she gets so angry that she can't flip back. which is funny because she first flipped from her belly to back. silly girl.
  • she loves to sit up and is constantly pulling herself up in her car seat, swing, etc.
  • she is getting good at grabbing things and transferring them from one hand to the other.
  • she is also learning the art of pinching. I have to keep her nails trimmed well because she will get you! especially my hair, she loves to grab my hair and not let go.
  • she babbles and babbles non stop. my mom said I was the same way when i was little, constantly talking. At kroger she just talks away, so loud that it almost sounds like she is screaming. people stare at me like 'why are you letting your child scream'. philip said when he takes her out and she does that everyone smiles at him. sexist people! :)
  • she has finally found her feet!
  • she is very aware of her surroundings and is constantly watching everyone and everything.

Also happy happy birthday to my mom and ainsley's nana:)
we love you so much and appreciate all that you do for us!
