garlic and gravy

Saturday I woke up early and couldnt go back to sleep. We decided to go ahead and head to Georgetown to get Jackson and see Grandma.
How thankful I am for that day.
Saturday was the last day that I saw my Grandma Wilhoite living.

She passed away in her sleep sometime early Monday morning. Auntie Jo was with her and she went very peacefully to heaven.

It is hard for those of us left behind, but we are happy and take comfort in the fact that Grandma is now with our Heavenly Father. where she has been telling us she is ready to be.

I will never forget this wonderful, Christian woman. who kept all 5 of us KY grandkids every Friday night for years and years. she made us homemade dinner and homemade breakfast every weekend. She had the entire family over every Sunday after church, where we all would sit around her table laughing and just being.
She would call every one of us (and a few select special friends) every year on our birthday and sing to us (often way earlier than we wished:)). She was always there to hug you. encourage you. or make you laugh at something random (sometimes inappropriate!) she would tell you.

My life is forever changed thanks to her amazing Christian example of pure love.

We love you Grandma and can't wait to see you again.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Rev. 21:4)

Thinking of you and your family this week. Sayings lots of prayers. She seemed like an amazing woman who will be missed.
