Ainsleys Birthday Weekend

It was another fun filled birthday weekend this year for Miss Ainsley. Her birthday fell on a Friday this year and she had “cold temperature” days on the Wednesday and Thursday before. We made 30 birthday treats and were hoping for school on Friday!

Per her request we made “rainbow Krispies” with rings attached (because “all the other girls at school put rings on their cupcakes for their birthday”). She told her teacher she didn’t want them to sing happy birthday to her because she doesn’t like people looking at her. I mean, who’s child is this?!

That night we ended up having dinner with Nanny Pop Uncle Bubby and fam at her favorite place Pucchinis. Nanny made cupcakes and the girls played with some of her new Barbie toys. She didn’t let us sing to her.

That morning she woke up to presents, balloons and doughnuts. She got to open one present and saved the rest for after school. She DID let us sing to her!  I walked her into school with her treats for her class, and Mr Brooks stopped and asked her to bring him one later, which she did;)

We surprised her at school and had lunch with her. Parker packed his lunch too and thought he was such a big boy eating with sissy at her school.

When she got home she got to open her gifts from us. An Easy Bake Oven and accessories. At first she didn’t want to bake in it because it would get dirty. But then she got on board and made a batch of chocolate cookies with rainbow sprinkles!

Then it was time to get ready for her Daddy Daughter dance! She looks forward to this all year. She met up with her friends Avery and Kk for dinner then they went to Keeneland for the dance. Dinner was apparently a little loud and crazy. But she had a great time and loved dancing with her daddy.

They got home late but were both so happy with their special night together.

The next day was Ainsleys birthday party! She had requested an art party and had asked for me to make it happen at our house. Um, no. I booked a really cool art/play studio. She was also very specific about only wanting girls this year. And only 10 girls so that she didn’t have too many people looking at her. She chose rainbows and unicorns as her theme and they made the cutest craft of fairy wishing jars!

This place was awesome! They had stations set up as the girls got there ; sparkly play dough cupcakes, shaving cream& glitter, orbees, painting wall, coloring wall, and chalkboards. I swear i think Parker was in his own little heaven!

We ended the weekend with hosting a super bowl party with Philips football friends, of which i took ZERO pictures. I did however eat a ton of yummy food.

Ainsley said she had a super fun weekend and we did too. Her party was just what she wanted it to be and she was able to be comfortable yet feel celebrated. She reminded everyone all weekend that it was “her birthday so she got to do — {fill in the blank}”. Maybe she is my child after all ;)
