Spring break

Easter kicked off spring break week this year. After our egg hunt, lunch and dessert, Philip and my brother headed to the Gorge for a camping trip. It rained , a lot, and Philip’s tent proved to be old. (He slept in puddles all night)

Monday we took our morning trip to the Y and then went to the mall. Philip and Matt came home a night early so we got to spend time with him we weren’t planning on which was nice.

Tuesday was a pretty day and we played outside a lot! Neither kids took a nap so we had lots of time to enjoy the sunshine.

We took the kids to Double Dogs for dinner and they love that their food is served in a dog bowl.

Wednesday morning i promised pancakes and we had a play date at chik fil a with some girls from BSF.

Thursday we met Mom, AJ, and Emma at the Children’s Garden. It was chilly but sunny and the kids had a blast. Parker loves when Thomas runs on the tracks, they put dandelions in the creek and watched them flow to the bottom, made wishes on the wishing tree, and fished off the boat. Then we went to McCalisters for lunch.

Friday we met some friends at the library to play and meet the Lorax. Parker thought he was “soft and big” and kept his eyes on him. We went to lunch after and it was rowdy but fun. We contained the 5 kids to a booth while we attempted adult conversation at the adjoining table.

So Friday was in the 60s and Saturday we woke up to snow. It snowed most of the morning. Philip took the kids to Toys R Us and out to lunch. That night Ainsley had her first ever sleep over at her friend Avery’s house. I had way more anxiety about this than i should have. If Philip hadn’t convinced me how much fun she would have I’m not sure i would’ve agreed to it.

Sunday we got tickets to go see a play of Mary Poppins. This is part of Ainsleys routine when she spends the night with Nanny, watching Mary Poppins. So off to Cincy we went for an afternoon , spit spot!

Back to reality and routine tomorrow. The snow is melting and spring is trying to come out. We’re ready for warm weather!
