Hello, 2018

January first always brings about a sense of freshness and newness. It motivates you to make changes, start new habits, and look ahead to what the next year is going to hold for you. For our family, we want to be more healthy (doesn’t everyone say that?), be more present, and let the Lord lead us each day. Oh, and I’m going to not let laundry sit in the dryer for a week.

We have been burning up the road to Georgetown still, as Johnny and his family came in for a few days. They made it in time to play mudbowl XXV,  it snowed the whole game, and i loved it.

Blue team won (by a lot, but in no way thanks to me). Parker missed the festivities due to a high fever. Nanny and Pop took turns cuddling him so i could play (thank you!)

We spent New Years hanging out, shooting guns, playing rummy, and carrying on Grandmas tradition of sherbet, sprite , and resolutions.

I was in bed by 930:) Philip works a day shift today, so he was up early and driving in the snow to morehead.

2017 was a good year. But 2018 will be even better.
